“Why is it always the woman who stays home? Why can’t men?” This is a favorite feminist talking point. It sounds fair… until you apply basic logic, biology, and common sense. The premise assumes men and women are the same. They’re not. And trying to make them interchangeable parents doesn’t liberate women, it just breaks down the family. Women don’t stay home because they’re oppressed. They stay home because they carry the baby, birth the baby, bond with the baby, feed the baby, and calm the baby with their very presence. it’s biological design. Infants instinctively seek their mother. Her voice, her smell, her body, all of it regulates and soothes the child in a way nothing else does. “But men can be nurturing too!” Sure. But that doesn’t mean they’re equal substitutes. Saying men can stay home doesn’t mean they should. And most don’t even want to. Men are not made to nurture the way women are. They are made to protect, provide, and build. That’s not less important, it’s equally vital, and it’s how they love. Most mothers, even those with careers, would prefer to be with their young children if they had the option. Feminism frames the home as a prison. But for most women, it’s the center of life, where they’re most irreplaceable, most powerful, and most needed. Want to know what happens when both parents are out of the house all day? You raise a generation of kids who bond with strangers more than their family, who live in systems, not homes. “Why is it always the woman?” Because we were made for it. The goal isn’t to swap roles. The goal is to fulfill them. Men and women aren’t competitors. They’re complementary. And civilization falls apart when we forget the difference.
